“As educators we see firsthand the impact of children who isolate themselves. Social isolation is both a potential cause and a symptom of emotional or psychological challenges. As a cause, the child’s inability to interact with the world and others can create an escalating pattern of these challenges. As a symptom, periods as well as the degree of isolation can be varied, depending upon the needs and challenges of the child. We do our best to provide for children on a case by case basis.”
